Luminair Studio was founded in Mauritius in 2008. Before we photographed a single wedding in the Seychelles, we learned light here — the gold that falls across Le Morne at dusk, the deep blue of the lagoon at Belle Mare, the stillness of Flic en Flac at sunrise.
We are not visiting photographers who fly in for your day. We are here, and we have been here for a long time. That knowledge — of locations, of seasons, of how the light moves — is what your images are made of.
We photograph a small number of weddings in Mauritius each year. That limit is not a constraint. It is a promise that your day receives everything we have.

From the moment the morning begins to the last dance. A second shooter joins us, so nothing goes uncaptured — the ceremony and the guests, the portraits and the details, the speeches and the first dance, all at once.
Two days, a second shooter, and a hand-bound fine-art album. The day before is a relaxed pre-wedding session in one of Mauritius's most extraordinary locations. The wedding day follows with full coverage — two photographers ensuring every moment of every room is captured.
The approach
Every image in a Luminair gallery is a real moment. We do not choreograph emotion or manufacture atmosphere. We position ourselves where the light is right, we move quietly, and we wait.
The result is a set of photographs that feel like memory rather than performance — images that, years from now, take you back to exactly how the day felt.
Rodrigues Island
Rodrigues is unlike anywhere else in the region. Dramatic limestone coastlines, lagoons that change colour with the tide, landscapes that feel entirely untouched. We are one of very few studios photographing weddings there regularly.
The images we make on Rodrigues are unlike any we make elsewhere. We believe they are some of the finest work we do.
Why Luminair
Luminair Studio opened in Mauritius, not in Europe. This island is not our destination. It is our base, and it has been for eighteen years.
We photograph a small number of weddings per year. Your day does not compete for our attention with fifteen others happening the same month.
Mauritius, Seychelles, Rodrigues. We are the only fine-art studio operating at this tier across the full region.
